Advanced Propulsion Centre drives low-carbon propulsion innovation through latest funding competition

The 10th July 2017, marked the opening of APC 8: Anchoring low-carbon technology in the UK - Accelerating sustainable change competition. The APC in association with Innovate UK, is now welcoming applications from consortia with low-carbon propulsion research and development projects that can deliver significant reductions in vehicle CO2 or other harmful emissions.

Up to £35 million matched grant funding is available through the latest round of APC competition and projects from consortia that can actively acceleration low-carbon propulsion technologies to market are urged to apply for this latest round of funding.

Projects must demonstrate the development of propulsion technologies based around one or more of the following technology areas:

  • Internal combustion engines
  • Lightweight powertrain structures
  • Electric machines and power electronics
  • Energy storage and energy management
  • Alternative propulsion systems

Registration for this competition is open until noon on 20th September 2017.
