Aspects - Transitions Sound and Vision

25th November 2019

Aspects – Transitions Sound and Vision works with young people aged 16 – 30 who are on the Autistic Spectrum and have other barriers to their education and employment such as social anxiety, Asperger’s syndrome, mental health and depression.

The young people work in small groups with a 1:1 staff ratio. Staff are all experienced in working with young people but in many different creative art forms.

The participants are learning about and creating podcasts and radio programming as well as creating media content to be uploaded onto the Aspects Trust website. Alongside this, they will be working through SFEDI qualification units as part of the Enterprise and Employment Level 1 Award. Helping them to learn communication, IT and technical skills.

By developing participants gaming skills, into media production, we can open up more employment and volunteering opportunities, particularly with the other community groups who use the facility.
