Women’s Academy

28th November 2019

Luton All Women’s Centre’s ‘Women’s Academy’ provides education, training and skills development activities specifically designed to help women and girls who are escaping and/or recovering from abuse to move forward with their lives and improve their long-term employment prospects.

Structured around the themes of capability, confidence and change and delivered in a safe, women-only environment, where wider practical and emotional support is provided by our core services, the Academy enables women to break through their barriers and achieve lasting change.

Long-term outcomes, in addition to progressing onto education and/or employment, will be the ability to achieve far greater levels of independence, make a positive contribution to their local community, be more financially capable and have greater control over decisions that affect their lives.  As a result, they will be more likely to avoid repeat victimisation.
