GLaM (Kettering Gallery, Library and Museum)

Kettering Borough Council, in partnership with Northamptonshire County Council, is revitalising the Kettering Gallery, Library and Museum (GLaM) to become a cultural anchor for North Northamptonshire.

GLaM will provide a blend of cultural amenity space and teaching facilities. The project will create flexible work/exhibition space, engage educational institutions, augment cultural/visitor and develop a programme of events to strengthen community links.

This project will fund the construction of a two-storey extension to the rear and between the library and Alfred East Gallery which are adjacent to the Museum. These new facilities will provide a range of flexible work/exhibition/education spaces, including a new atrium space and café with access to improved public gardens.

Total Project Cost: £3.64M
Delivery Partner: North Northamptonshire Council
Project Status
: Due to complete by September 2022
Projected Outputs: 120sqm of commercial floor space and 250sqm space for learning.
