2020 Finance Series: Understanding Forecasting

Head of Financial Modelling at Grant Thornton, Mark Robson, will deliver this tightly and practically focused session on forecasting. Focusing on the important areas in forecasting as they relate to obtaining debt finance, equity finance, grants, or tax reliefs.

You will be shown simple and effective ways of covering:

  • how return on investment for equity investors can be shown, taking into account amounts invested, percentage ownership, enterprise value, and future cash requirements
  • how lenders can assess the available security, interest cover, debt repayment ability, and cash
  • how grant-awarding bodies can assess matched funding, jobs created, sustainability, and the difference between capital and operating expenditure which elements are important for various tax relief claims
