Delivering a world class Heartland

Date: September 12th, 09:00-16:00

Silverstone

England's Economic Heartland's is the strategic transport partnership for an area covering over 5.1million people and nearly 300,000 businesses. We bring together local authorities and Local Enterprise Partnerships stretching from Swindon in the west to Cambridgeshire in the east and also encompassing Hertfordshire, acting as a gateway to London and the wider South East of England.

Our over-riding objective is unlocking the region's economic growth potential through improvements in the strategic infrastructure of the Heartland area, which the Government recognises as a national priority. It is about connecting world class innovation, skills and people within the region to ensure the Heartland is genuinely open for business on the global stage.

The Delivering a World Class Heartland event at Silverstone on 12 September is an opportunity for all of the Heartland's stakeholders and the business community to better understand progress on its priorities. This year's conference is focuses on two distinct areas:

The morning sessions will look at the development of strategic infrastructure within the Heartland including progress of the East-West Railway project and plans for the wider transport infrastructure for the Heartland

The afternoon focuses on building a business voice for the Oxford to Cambridge Corridorand will be an opportunity to hear from senior business leaders from the region's most successful companies on what the they want to see developing across the Corridor to support business to grow and flourish. We will also hear from Business North on how business leaders have come together to shape a genuine private sector voice as part of the Northern Powerhouse.

If you would like to attend, please email Dima.Boulos@essential-infrastructure.com. Places will be offered subject to availability, so do specify if you like to attend the full conference or the morning or afternoon session only.
