Growth Curve is an intensive course for business owners to strengthen leadership skills to set your organisation on track for attainable long-term growth.

The university masterclasses will help you come up with the strategies to stabilise, strengthen and grow your business, working on the main priorities and finding your way forward.

It will help you define your objectives, new business initiatives and put a plan into place for recovery and growth.

Ahead of your masterclass, you will be invited to an initial 1-2-1 diagnostic meeting. In the meeting you will identify areas of improvement to focus on in the masterclass.

Masterclass Content

Session 1 Monday 6th June 09:00am – 2:00pm

Session 2 Wednesday 22nd June 09:00am – 2:00pm

A masterclass series delivered by Cranfield University School of Management.

Sessions will be broken up into groups of 4-5 businesses, at a similar growth stage, to allow for meaningful group discussions, with a dedicated counsellor to facilitate learning.

You will gain the knowledge to:

  • Analyse your growth challenges by looking at your business from different angles.
  • Understand how other businesses are overcoming challenges and learn how you

could apply similar solutions.

  • Learn new ways of working to better lead yourself and your team.
  • Develop an action plan to address the most important and urgent issues facing

your business.

  • Build a network with like-minded people who can be a source of energy, support and guidance.

Day 1:

The first session will begin by looking at the wider economic environment and what that means for SMEs, before looking at the need to truly understand the numbers underpinning it.

Session 1 – Economy: Economic Outlook for SMEs – Delivered by a world-leading expert, the session will provide an understanding of the prevailing macro- and micro-economic conditions and what that means for business owners.

Session 2 – Finance: Turnover is vanity, profit is sanity, but cash is king – Truly understanding the numbers which underpin the revenue drivers and cost levers is vital, and this session will examine why a focus on turnover growth can be damaging to the growth of the business.

Day 2:

The second masterclass will focus on understanding who an ideal customer is and how to attract more of them, before examining how to build a team which can enable participants to make the critical step of working on the business rather than in it.

Session 1 – Marketing: Grow your customers: Strategies to identify and reach your target market – This session will help participants to identify the most desirable customers to a business, and how you can develop strategies to identify, attract and retain them.

Session 2 – People: Building a high-performance team – Critical to the successful development of most businesses is the ability to free up the leader’s time to work on the business rather than in it. This session will focus on ways to build a team in order to successfully develop the participants strategic role and scale the business.
