New private sector member joins SEMLEP board

SEMLEP is delighted to announce the successful recruitment of new private sector member Jean Winfield, who has this month joined our dedicated board of directors.
 
Jean, Managing Director of Bletchley based Jeanius Consulting, an independent marketing services company, has over 25 years’ business experience in both domestic and international markets.
 
A passionate, motivated and results-driven specialist, Jean has an objective, common sense, customer-focused business style; an approach she uses effectively when working closely with clients and the wider business community. As a result of her enthusiasm, commitment and professionalism, she has not only grown Jeanius, but also developed strong links with others, through working with key organisations and associations. 
 
Commenting on her new role Jean said: “I am delighted to join the SEMLEP board, having been previously very aware of its pivotal role in delivering the strategic infrastructure and skills needed for business growth in the South East Midlands region.
 
“As a private sector representative, I aim to share my extensive business experience and acumen on a wide range of ongoing projects, embracing the proactive culture of the organisation and its board.
 
“Being passionate about the region and having my own business based here, I’m excited to support businesses gain vital funding and investment and to see our vibrant region continue to flourish."
 
 
 
Mary Clarke will be stepping down as leader of South Northamptonshire District Council at next month’s election and from her current role as SEMLEP public sector board director. In June we are delighted to announce that Mary, Chief Executive Office of training provider Cognisco, will take up up a new position as private sector board director at SEMLEP. More details will follow in our June newsletter.
