Lead the future of our business support

Can you shape the future of business support for 80,000 businesses across the South East Midlands? 

Growth Hubs play a crucial role in joining up national and local business support so it is easy for businesses to find the help they need. 

We're seeking two new members for our Growth Hub Board to represent the interests of business customers and ensure that customer needs are firmly embedded in SEMLEP plans and developments for business support.

We have two Growth Hubs in the South East Midlands that provide one-to-one business advice, brokerage and signposting, business skills workshops and revenue and capital grants. They also deliver specialist business growth programmes, part-funded by ERDF.

You'll need to commit to three or four Project Board meetings each year, (each lasting two to three hours, with a similar time required to read papers), attend SEMLEP events whenever possible and to engage with the business community as an advocate for SEMLEP.  

In your role, you will

• scrutinise performance management of agreed activities
• provide stewardship of business support funds, programmes and projects
• offer skills and expertise to SEMLEP staff and delivery partners
• stretch thinking and to challenge ways of working
