Outline proposals invited for ERDF funding - open calls now live

Funding opportunities for projects that enhance research and development, improve Information and communications technology or provide specialist support for SMEs is available now, closing on 26^th January 2018.

In three open and competitive calls for European Regional Development Fund investment, launched by Department Communities and Local Government (DCLG), organisations are invited to submit outline proposals for the following priorities:  

Research and Innovation call

Funding of up to £5,232,800 is available: reference number: OC31R17P 0658

Investment priorities in this call focus on: enhancing research and innovation infrastructure and capacities to develop research and innovation excellence, and promoting centres of competence, in particular those of European interest promoting business investment in research and innovation.

Information and Communications Technology call

Call of £1,000,000  is available: reference number: OC31R17P 0659

This call is looking to enhance access to, and use and quality of, Information and Communications Technology (ITC) and in particular to develop ITC products and services, e-commerce.  Provision will enhance demand by increasing productive use of digital technologies among SMEs and social enterprises.

SME support call

Call funding of up to £6,494,000 is available: reference number: OC31R17P 0660

This call is looking to enhance the competitiveness of small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) and specifically to:

• Promote entrepreneurship, in particular by facilitating the economic exploitation of new ideas and fostering the creation of new firms, including through business incubators.
• Support the creation and the extension of advanced capacities for products, services and development
• Support the capacity of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises to grow in regional, national and international markets and to engage in innovation processes
