Dave graduated from Loughborough University in July 1992 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. During University (1988 to 1992) Dave was sponsored by Jaguar Cars. From 1992 to 1997 Dave worked at Jaguar Cars as a calibration engineer, working on the XJ and S-type saloon vehicles.
He joined MAHLE Powertrain Ltd (then known as Cosworth Engineering) in early 1997 in the calibration department. In 1999 Dave moved into Project Management and broadened his knowledge of engine design, analysis, development and calibration. In 2005 Dave achieved a Chartered Engineer status.
After working in Calibration & Project Management, working on and leading a number of high profile projects, Dave became Chief Engineer Projects in 2006. In the following years, market demands made it necessary to increase capability and capacity and Dave was responsible for managing a significant growth in the business. In 2014 he took over the role of Sales & Marketing Director for MAHLE Powertrain in Northampton.
