Project Manager

Salary: £37k-£42k pa (dependant on experience)+ 25 days holiday + bank holidays + 6% emp pension
Hours:
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Flexible working applications are welcome.

Job Summary:

  • Working as part of the Growth Hub management team to deliver a successful and coordinated business support offer to businesses within the South East Midlands.
  • Namely to oversee SEMLEP’s GrowthCurve project part- funded by ERDF, including managing relations with the project’s three delivery partners.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day running of the project, monitoring and reporting performance and ensuring compliance with ERDF rules and guidelines. This includes overseeing any procurement activity, grant application and claims processes and monitoring and liaising with project delivery partners. Also includes responsibility for the project’s commitment to ERDF’s cross-cutting themes (Equality and Diversity and Sustainability).

Information and Compliance Manager

Salary: £35k pa FTE (Pro Rata £21k)+ 25 days holiday (pro rata) + bank holidays + 6% emp pension

Job Summary:

  • To undertake and coordinate activities ensure compliance with both our external regulatory obligations and internal compliance, governance and risk requirements

  • To prepare and update internal including policies, systems, procedures and processes.

  • To manage and advise the strategic and operational development and coordination of effective information management, ensuring that legal obligations are met for the creation and retention of records in compliance legal requirements and best practice.

  • To monitor and ensure SEMLEP’s decision making processes and governance are completed in line with our legal and agreed standards. Ensuring the smooth running of our governance Board and processes including audits.

  • To oversee the IT contract and oversight of SEMLEP’s IT requirements and security needs

  • To oversee the Procurement process across SEMLEP and make recommendations for process improvement including training staff on procurement processes

Business Development Manager

Job Summary:

  • To build and manage positive relationships with all businesses in the SEMLEP area, but particularly in the key sectors identified in the Strategic Economic Plan and Local Industrial Strategy to better understand barriers and opportunities for growth.

  • Build trust and establish a strong, on-going relationship with targeted companies to enable quicker identification of issues/opportunities in order to achieve greater economic impact.

  • To secure inward investment opportunities in the SEMLEP area.

  • Oversee the development of the SEMLEP Business Ambassador Programme and key sector groups and other business engagement mechanisms employed by SEMLEP.

  • Support the supply chain development and diversification amongst SEMLEP businesses, particularly SMEs.

  • Promote SEMLEP across the region, engaging with and build relationships with businesses in SEMLEP’s showcase sectors, local authorities, intermediaries and other key stakeholders.

Programme Contract Manager

Job Summary:

  • This role will primarily support the Director of Programme and Governance to work with applicants for every project following approval by the LEP Board to formal contract and to output delivery arising from the funding.
  • This role will support in management of the overall LEP Programme of works.
  • To manage a portfolio of Local Growth Fund (LGF), Growing Places Fund and Regional Growth Fund projects and those arising from any subsequent Government funding stream alongside other members of the SEMLEP Programme Team and wider staff.
  • To assist in supporting all external applicants for LGF funding to ensure all funding applications are compliant and are subsequently documented through a robust project pathway transparent including contracts and funding agreements to ensure they properly assured and delivered as per the LEPs Assurance Framework.
  • To manage the risks arising from a capital spend programme and report and act on these risks with the Programmes Team.
  • To develop working relationships with all the Project Managers in the portfolio as part of the risk management and project delivery process.
