SEMLEP is looking for private sector directors to join the SEMLEP Board. This is a non-remunerated role that will position you on a leadership platform that secures and directs major national and local investment in the area.

You will take decisions on where to target activities to drive up productivity, create jobs and tackle the key issues facing our businesses. You will be an advocate for the future prosperity of your area. You will challenge businesses to capitalise on growth opportunities and help to celebrate their successes.

SEMLEP is a highly-performing Local Enterprise Partnership, with big ambitions. As a private sector Board director, you will work with your public sector colleagues to oversee our performance and monitor the robust assurance measures we have in place.

Enterprise Co-ordinator

Salary: £34,000 - £35,500 pa + 25 days holiday + bank holidays + 5% emp pension
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, flexible working applications would be welcome.
Contract Type: This contract will initially be until 31st July 2019, extension subject to continued funding.
Responsible to: Employer and Skills Manager
Location: Your normal place of work will be home based with some travel to SEMLEP head office at Cranfield, Bedfordshire and ‘hot-desking’ at the Northampton office of the SEMLEP Growth Hub and the University of Northampton, Waterside Campus.

Job Summary:
The Enterprise Coordinator is the pivotal role in The Careers & Enterprise Company’s national programme and critical to achieving its aim of motivating, inspiring and supporting young people in making informed choices about their future and help them achieve against those choices.

This position will be located within Northamptonshire, working alongside colleagues in Bedfordshire, Milton Keynes and Luton. Primary focus would be in Corby, Kettering, Wellingborough and Rushden.
