Funding for community skills projects available for South East Midlands businesses.

The South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership (SEMLEP) launches the second round of Community Grants.

SEMLEP’s Community Grants programme offers voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations grant funding between £10,000 to £20,000 to provide local support to people who are unemployed, helping them to take up training, volunteering or get back into work.

The grant can fund 100% of the project cost.

Marcela Crusco, Community Grants Project Manager, SEMLEP commented:

“This is the perfect opportunity for VCSE organisations to apply for grant funding so they can expand their support offer and provide greater impact in the communities they serve.

“The European Social Fund aims to improve labour market participation, promote social inclusion and develop the skills of the potential and existing workforce. This funding will help us to work in partnership to achieve these ambitions.”

SEMLEP is working with Social Business Alliance and Voluntary Impact Northamptonshire who can provide dedicated assistance to local community organisations who wish to apply for a community grant.

For more information about the Community Grants programme, the application process and the assistance available visit semlep.com/community-grants/ or call the team on 01234 436100.
