VSCE Observer

Rachel is the elected VCSE observer to the SEMLEP board, and is the CEO of Northamptonshire Community Foundation, a grant making and philanthropic charity. Rachel has over 21 years’ experience of working as a professional in the charitable sector and her skills and expertise include community leadership and engagement, campaigning and influencing, fundraising, grant making, developing impact frameworks, philanthropy, policy analysis, research and strategic thinking. Rachel was for nine years a tutor and course content designer of a Foundation Degree for Managing Voluntary and Community Organisations for Vaughan College at the University of Leicester. During this time she took an honorary role with New College Durham as an External Examiner for an equivalent Foundation Degree Leadership in Voluntary and Community Organisations. She has also worked as a charity sector consultant and established the first countywide food poverty network for Northamptonshire to tackle food insecurity and actively reduce poverty.

Rachel has an MA in Social Anthropology from the University of St Andrews.
